Carla and Alastair's Engagement Party

She averts her eyes, and giggles as she stares off into the distance. Her face shows the emotion that probably feels too corny to say out loud... "I adore you, and I'm incredibly happy".
I think I've mentioned that I love love. Well, I do!! And yesterday, at Carla and Alastairs engagement party, I felt the love, ha! They have both waited paitently for each other, and it's so exciting to see them deciding that this is God's plan for them!
I'm such a fan of natural photos. Argh! I know that posed shots are so necessary, but there's something so special about capturing something that isn't staged, and that is just a person in their natural state. So alot of these are "naturalistic", but I don't appologise for that - I love it!

I love her ring too. Apparently each diamond represents different people. . . !!???!! What??!! I hear you say... Her, Alastair and God... a chord of three stands. Beautiful.

Carla!! She's so so gorgeous, in an understated, I-have-no-idea-I'm-so-incredibly-beautiful way! She wears her heart on her sleeve, and like me, cries at the drop of a hat -but that's who she is. She glows with integrity and strength.

Alastair, looking dashing with a very manly flower... :)

Oooooh, I'm in aperture heaven.

See? Natural moments :) classic.

OH MY GOODNESS, Carla made this and iced it all by HERSELF. All power to you girl!!

Isn't she elegant??

Just thought this way interesting.

CupCAKES!!

My camera is in for repairs. It's so frustrating, but I did end up borrowing my friends. Its funny how much more comfortable you feel with your own!! Even if they're pretty much the same.

I have to say, this party had a ridiculous amount of babies. Seriously, everywhere you turn, there's a baby... baby... two babies... oops, I stepped on a baby.... did I mention the baby???

Funny, isn't it? Children aren't camera shy like adults seem to be. They just look straight at the camera! They don't pretend to not have seen you. Or maybe they're just paying better attention...

The very happy father of the bride. Making toasts.

This is the maid of honour, and sister of the bride. You can tell hey? Stunningly gorgeous and hillarious, she's great.

Where did this baby's head come from?? Random cuteness!

Did I mention all the babies????

Most of these I've used my 70-200 L f2.8. I'm becoming addicted to 2.8. Nothing else ever feels good enough. When I get my 1.4 I suppose I'll feel the same way!

Ok, I'm creepy, but I just love this girls eyes. I have no idea who she is, but her eyes stay with me! :)

Thanks guys for inviting us to your gorgeous celebration!! I know you're going to have a completely gorgeous and meaningful wedding and life!!! xoxo
